Suranne Jones

Sarah Anne Jones, better called Suranne Jones, is an actress and producer who hails from England. The actress has earned fame her role as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama 'Scott & Bailey", and the GP Gemma Foster in the medical drama 'Doctor Foster'. Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. In a stage production of Wait Until Dark, she appeared as Gloria aged eight. She made her screen debut in 1997 on an episode of 'Coronation Street'. Then, in 2000, she returned on the soap opera to play Karen McDonald. In the years following her departure from ITV's soap operas, she played a range of characters on television programs like 'Vincent" The 'Strictly Confidential", and Harley Street.
